Drama and chaos ensued at burial in sabata village,Kiminini constituency Trans Nzoia County after political leaders exchanged causing tension among morners.
The drama which took place during political speeches caused confusion while disobeying directives on sread of Corona virus.
The scuffle started after Sitatunga MCA Daniel Kaburu stood on the podium and hit at a section of political leaders using burial platform to attack and abuse others to gain political milleage.
Kaburu had earlier warned youths and politicians allied to Kiminini M.P Chris Wamalwa who has declared interest in thr gubernatorial seat to stop disrespecting other leaders and causing chaos in public functions.
Chaos started after youths allied to a local politician forced thre MCA out of podium and beat him away of the burial causing tension and confusion that lasted for 20 minutes.
It called for more than 10 members of County assembly who had attended the burial to calm and the situation .
The leaders called for sobriety and tolerance among political leaders even as succession politics for 2022 governorship battle heats up in the County.
The MCAs led by Kapomboi MCA Benard Wanjala,Keiyo Emmanuel Waswa and Hospital ward MCA Erick Mwanjale accused Kiminini M.P Dr. Chris Wamalwa of funding youths groups to cause chaos during funeral events to gain political milleage.
Other political leaders led by 2022 governorship aspirant Kakai Bisau called on leaders to stop using youths to cause mayhem in the County.
Bisau said its was unfortunate for leaders to even cause chaos in public events even as the country continue to battle the Covid-19 pandemic.
The leaders called on the security organs to arrest and prosecute political leaders going against the health directives on covid-19 pandemic to put the public for their political milleage.
